Web & mobile applications

The layer your customers judge the product by. Consoles for operators, tools for installers standing in a plant room, and apps for people who will never read a manual.

Connected products usually need more than one interface, and they serve very different people. An installer needs to finish a commissioning job on a phone, in a basement, with no signal. A facilities manager needs to see two hundred sites at once. An end customer needs one screen that does the thing they bought the product for.

Building all three as views on the same database is how products end up hard to use. We design each around the job someone is doing, then share the parts underneath that genuinely should be shared.

What we build

  • Operator and facilities consoles
  • Installer and commissioning applications
  • Dealer and distributor portals
  • End-customer mobile apps for iOS and Android
  • Internal tooling for support and service teams
  • Design systems that keep it all consistent

Services

What we take on

Product design

Understanding the job before drawing the screen. We talk to the people who will use it — installers and support staff especially, because they are usually asked last.

Research
User interviews, task analysis, field observation
Design
Flows, wireframes, interface design, prototypes
Systems
Component libraries, tokens, documentation
Accessibility
Keyboard, contrast and screen‑reader support

Web applications

Consoles that stay fast with a large fleet, where a support engineer can find one unit among thousands in seconds.

Frameworks
Angular, React, TypeScript
Data
Live updates, virtualised tables, charting
Access
Roles, tenant scoping, audit trails
Quality
Automated tests, visual regression, CI

Mobile applications

Apps that work where the product is installed, which is rarely where the signal is. Offline first, syncing when the connection returns.

Frameworks
React Native, Expo, native modules
On‑device
BLE commissioning, QR and NFC provisioning
Offline
Local storage, queued sync, conflict handling
Release
Store submission, staged rollout, crash reporting

Questions we get asked

Before you commission application work

Native or cross‑platform?

Cross‑platform for most connected‑product apps, because the differentiator is the device integration rather than the interface. Where a native module is genuinely needed — some Bluetooth and background behaviour — we write it and bridge it.

Can you work with our brand and design team?

Yes. We can build to your existing design system, extend it for the device‑specific patterns it will not yet cover, or create one if there is nothing to build on.

What about an app for a product that already exists?

Common. The work is usually in the device and platform layers rather than the app, which is one reason having all three under one team shortens it.

Who publishes to the app stores?

You do, under your own developer accounts. We prepare the builds, assets and store listings and take you through review, but the accounts and the relationship stay yours.

Need an interface people can actually use?

Show us the product and who has to operate it. We will come back with the flows we would build first.
